Teresa Limm
Teresa comes from a family of scientists, and in 1985 qualified with a Bachelor of Applied Science. Since then she has worked as a Medical Scientist in immunology, male infertility at the Royal Women’s Hospital, and in DNA testing for organ transplant matching, parentage testing and forensics.
After more than 20 years experience as a Medical Scientist, Teresa has now fulfilled her long held desire to move into a natural medicine. She has been concerned that the barrage of chemicals and radiation we face in our everyday lives can cause health issues.
Chris Limm
Chris has been in catering all of his working life, spending nine years at sea as a cook then chef on ships such as the Oriana, Sea Princess and QEII.
After arriving in Melbourne in 1986, he spent 12 months cooking at Channel 7 Studios in South Melbourne, and then moved to William Angliss TAFE in the city. There he spent nine years as Cafeteria and Functions Manager, providing food for the 12,000 staff and students, and catering for functions as small as 8 people at the National Australia Bank, to 300 in the Great Hall of the National Gallery, to 1,000 Country Women’s association members at the Melbourne Town Hall. Deciding on a lifestyle change in 1996, he and Teresa spent two years as volunteers at Pallotti College near Warburton where he catered for up to 150 guests.
After an extensive search of Tasmania and Victoria for the perfect B&B location, Chris and Teresa fell in love with the quaint rural village of Guildford. They loved the hilltop position with fabulous views in all directions, the closeness to the cosmopolitan towns of Castlemaine and Daylesford, and the friendly and creative nature of the locals.
Since arriving in 1997, they have spent their time creating and improving Celestine House B&B. Apart from wanting a beautiful B&B where all guests could feel both welcome and special, they wanted to keep their focus on Chris’ specialty of fabulous food and great service.
Whether here for a romantic weekend, or a family get together, Chris loves being the host and serving his guests. He makes sure that all guests have a wonderful and memorable stay at Celestine House. In his spare time, he also enjoys cycling, reading and a glass of wine.
